Amber Davies, the former Love Island winner and Strictly Come Dancing star, has outed the romantic rumors that surround her and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Amber Davies has addressed the romance rumours surrounding herself and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Nikita Kuzmin. The musical theatre actress, 29, who launched a career treading the boards after finding fame as the winner of Love Island in 2017, is in a relationship with Ben Joyce but has been spotted ‘getting close’ to her co-star from the BBC One dancing show in recent days, even though he is currently dating model Lauren Jaine.
Amber and Nikita almost kissed towards the end of their Argentine tango routine earlier in the competition, and all of this has had fans wondering whether the pair are the latest to fall for the Strictly curse. Addressing the rumours head on, Amber said: “The only good thing is Ben is not a***d.
So I feel as though I can ignore it because it doesn’t have any negative effects on us, which is nice. He is horizontal, Ben, by definition. I’m so in love with Lauren, Nikita’s girlfriend. She receives constant text messages. Every single day, every day.

In a conversation with The Sun, Amber continued, “Lauren spends more time with me than her fella,” while talking about her close friendship with Nikita’s boyfriend. She actually entered my dressing room the day before going to see Nikita. She’s stolen from me!
The former Dancing On Ice contestant trained at a prestigious London drama school before finding fame, and has starred in a UK tour of Pretty Woman: The Musical, and recently completed a stint in the West End production of The Great Gatsby.
Just days before Amber was confirmed as a replacement on Strictly for fellow Love Island winner Dani Dyer, who had to drop out before the first live show after sustaining an injury, it was announced that Amber had bagged the leading role of Elle Woods in a new touring production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. She will be following on from Sheridan Smith, Lucie Jones and Faye Brookes, all of whom have played the sorority-girl-turned-lawyer made famous by Reese Witherspoon in the 2001 comedy.
However, Amber informed Call To Stage listeners that even that had happened at the last minute because she had just been hired by the auditions to join Ben and her for the move to their new home. When the pair first met as actors in Back To the Future at the Adelphi Theatre in 2022, they were together.
According to an insider at Elstree Studios, where Strictly is filmed, Amber and Nikita are in ‘their own little world’ both off stage and on.
They said: “The couple are described as being locked in their own little world at times and the chemistry between them has raised eyebrows amongst their Strictly colleagues,” and also noted that there is an ‘undeniable spark’ between the Love Island winner and her partner.
Amber has previously stated that her boyfriend is unconcerned by her passionate routines with her Strictly professional dance partner Nikita.
She said, “I’ve seen him kiss someone else on stage, he’s watched me fall in love with someone on stage, that’s normal in our industry.” My boyfriend is obsessed with this dance because he believes it to be my best dance ever.
