Louisa penned a nostalgic Instagram post today, writing: “Did you know I was the youngest standing contestant on the show? Every week was a mix of nerves, glitter, and the pure adrenaline of performing live.

Being the youngest gave me a lot to prove, but it also gave me the freedom to embrace the entire experience with fearless enthusiasm and wide-eyed excitement. Strictly wasn’t just about the dance moves; it also taught me through performance the magic of storytelling, discipline, and resilience.

Forever grateful for that chapter, “I’ll never forget the friendships, the sequins, and the feeling of hearing that music start.” Please, all stars back, please? Good luck to everyone who is about to begin the Strictly journey.

A number of vintage photos from Louisa’s time on the show accompanied the post. Fans flocked to the comments, one of which read, “Obsessed with your Jive to this day” and continued to rant about her Strictly run.

Another person remarked, “You were amazing. Louisa and Vincent won the American Smooth in the quarter-final of 2006 and placed 31 out of 40.

Louisa put on such a beautiful performance, Len Goodman told her. There was a small dearth of the wow factor. You did a fantastic job, I thought.

Bruno Tonioli praised her potential but said the dance was “a bit safe,” while Craig Revel Horwood was less impressed, calling it “mediocre” and “boring”.

The pair’s Rumba only managed 28 points for them. Bruno criticized her, saying, “This is the one Latin dance that really tells a story.” You lost your balance a few times, and I didn’t see a story, I saw tricks.

Craig also claimed that there wasn’t enough Rumba and “a little bit jagged.” Louisa left the show with her head raised, noting that she loved every second of it. Every little girl’s dream is a reality for me.

Her partnership with Vincent blossomed into a close friendship, and at the time Louisa told the BBC : “We’re going on holiday together to Italy. I love him and we’ll continue with the lessons.”

Since Strictly, Louisa has enjoyed a varied acting career. She returned to EastEnders as Ruby Allen after her time in the ballroom, and also went on to play PC Beth Green in The Bill. She even represented the UK at the Eurovision Dance Contest in 2008, where she finished ninth.
