In tonight’s results show, Strictly Come Dancing revealed the first celebrity to be axed from the 2025 series. hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced that Thomas Skinner, a former The Apprentice star, and rugby player Chris Robshaw had made the cut after the public vote.
However, after a dance-off, Thomas and his professional partner Amy Dowden were the first Strictly Come Dancing contestants to be declared disqualified from the program this year. After the pair performed their Viennese Waltz to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With A Smile once more, the judges unanimously decided to save Chris and Nadiya Bychkova.
While Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Chris, Motsi Mabuse, who received the decisive vote this week, said she also would have chosen to save Nadiya and Chris.
Thomas said to Tess, “I’ve loved it, I’ve loved it. Amy is amazing despite the fact that I’ve never danced before and my stay was brief. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and had a great time.

Thomas has had his share of dramas on Strictly, with the reality star snatching a reporter’s phone just before the show’s launch and escaping from one of its press interviews. He later learned that he had a sexual encounter with an aesthetician just weeks before his 2022 wedding to his wife Sinead.
Thomas revealed that he had already lost a stone from the training after the training had begun. He stated to It Takes Two this week, “I’ve lost a stone since starting Strictly. I weigh less than a stone. I don’t feel any different. I’m eagerly awaiting my return to the cafe.
