Stormzy ‘heartbroken’ as he announces death of dog he shared with ex Maya Jama

When he and Maya Jama were still dating, the grizzly artist spent £15,000 on the trained protection dog Enzo.

Stormzy has taken to his social media to announced that he is going through a huge family loss. The musician posted to his Instagram page to tell his followers that his beloved dog Enzo has died.

The star has been left devastated as his Rottweiler died seven years after he bought the protection dog for him and his ex-girlfriend Maya Jama. Stromzy shared a sweet tribute to his pet as he announced the sad news.

Throughout his absence, he frequently shared photos and videos of Enzo. He later wrote, “RIP my no. 1 boy. Have little to say; all that is devastated and heartbroken.

My boy, I adore you so much. You already know Enz meant a lot to me, so I’m going to miss you, my guy. Fans reshared the post and left their sweet messages, but Stormzy turned off the comment section.

Stormzy got his dog Enzo back in 2018 when he was still dating Love Island host Maya. He spent £15,000 on the protection dog.

Before becoming famous, the rapper had already been stabbed three times, so he sought the help of Chaperone K9, a security firm.

Chaperone K9 has also supplied dogs to West Ham striker Andy Carroll and Manchester United defender Phil Jones. Maya and Stromzy split in 2019 and then got back together.

However, they later revealed that they had split up again in 2024. At the time of the breakup, the former couple issued a joint statement.

We never, ever thought we would be the couple announcing a breakup, so we kept laughing as we went through with it.

We thought it might be best to do this for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us both the space and grace necessary to navigate this next phase of our lives with ease.
