Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has urged the newly formed opposition coalition to stop utilizing Nigerians for personal matters.
Wike made this statement on Thursday during his monthly media conference at his personal residence in Abuja.
According to him, some political figures’ recent coalition, which chose the African Democratic Party (ADC) as their platform, did not appeal to Nigerians.
You say Nigerians are angry when you have an issue with someone, and you form a coalition. Let’s take the problems in Nigeria seriously, please.
I challenge each of them to display their scorecards. What did they do to improve the nation when they were in charge of affairs? He inquired.

The minister claimed that he couldn’t completely address the issue with regard to the FCT, particularly the teachers’ strike.
He explained that the area councils are the recipients of the teachers’ funds rather than the FCT administration.
