Steps’ Claire Richards rages at treatment by posh London store

Claire Richards, 47, a Steps star, has publicly reacted to Harvey Nichols’ claim that they took her money but didn’t deliver it.

The musician claimed that the store destroyed her Christmas by only receiving a portion of her online order, leaving her with no presents for her husband Reece Hill and their daughter Daisy, who recently turned 15.

On X formerly known as Twitter, Claire went on a long rant about the store. She continued, “Any retail experts on here who can tell me if it’s legal for @HarveyNichols to accept my order, take my payment, send order in multiple packages with over £350 in missing, but when I asked them to send the missing items because they were Xmas presents?

I was informed that they have delivery authorization, that my exact package was being assembled, boxed, and that everything was in the box, and that they have checked the CCT. I requested the CCTV proof, but it turns out I am not permitted because it infringes on data protection, according to Harvey Nichols.

She then tagged Harvey Nichols again, and raged:” It seems when it’s your word against mine there is no consideration for the customer. I’m shocked by the poor customer service and complete disregard for the customer. I had already bought one of the items from @JohnLewisRetail…….

“And another, but I returned it after I saw you had a deal on the item.” Without a doubt, @JohnLewisRetail would have handled this issue with much more compassion and achieved a favorable outcome for both parties. You won’t talk to me to try to resolve this issue any further because my husband and I are currently out of pocket and my daughter didn’t receive their presents.

The Masked Singer alum then added, “Surely I should be able to view that proof for myself if you have definitive proof that it was packed.” Instead of writing off £350, which I’m sure is a drop in the ocean, you would be so incredibly greedy as a retailer and would be happy to call me a liar and make me feel like a thief, as it only leads me to believe! Nothing more than a customer lost by expressing how awfully you treat their customers.

She stated in a final tweet that she had received the news that “some people are misinterpreting the issue” and that she had received the box. There was only one item in the box, which should have contained five. However, they claim they are lying because it was delivered and that they have “cctv” evidence of its packing!

After opening up about becoming more assertive over the years, Claire’s public appearance with Harvey Nichols comes as no surprise. She said: “I think it’s a menopausal thing, but I’ve become more honest and less tolerant. I’d like to believe that I would defend myself now in situations that I haven’t previously.

Claire placed fourth on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, and added that if she returned to the studio today, she would be more open-minded. “I’m at a different stage in life and I’m much more confident”, she said, sharing: “I probably wouldn’t take the s**t that I was given. I just kind of shied away from the drama, but now, if it was directed at me, I probably would stick up for myself. But that’s a side of me that doesn’t come out very often”.
