In the second episode of their BBC One series, Loose Women star Stacey Solomon and husband Joe Swash have an awkward argument about their married lives.
Stacey Solomon says she thinks she has “had her last baby” in the new series of her documentary – where she also clashes with her husband over the amount of romance in their lives.
Stacey and Joe Swash, who married in 2022 and have been together nine years, have filmed more of their home life for the BBC. But kicking off the TV series, the married pair are at odds over the state of their relationship.
Stacey comments, “You said Pickle Cottage is like our relationship, we’re constantly improving.” I believed everything was alright. And you haven’t put in much effort, “? “?
Joe, 43, replies: “We are okay. There is definitely more potential for romance between us this year. Then Stacey, 35, states, “I’m open to the idea. I’m prepared for it. Bring it, please.
It’s the first time I’ve heard of it, Grinning Joe says.

The pair then go off for an overnight stay to celebrate Joe’s birthday, which sees them fishing and sharing a hot tub together. Joe says: “Romance takes a back seat when you have kids, so you sort of have to pick your moments for romance.“
Stacey responds, “Romance is different at different stages of your life, isn’t it? ” So, romance is currently reloading the dishwasher. At this point in our lives, that’s sexy.
When we first met, romance wasn’t just about shaving your legs, right? She continues, “Thank God that bit is over.”
Then Belle, the episode’s youngest, enters the nursery. Stacey acknowledges that as the kids get older, she becomes “sad.”
Another bird is flying the nest, it seems. Before Joe asks, “Do you think that’s our last baby?,” Joe replies, “All the kids are at school, and we can have a lot of fun.”
Stacey responds, “Bubbs, I believe that’s our last baby.” Which Joe responds, “I believe what we need to do is start anticipating the future” of the children’s development rather than “awww”
Stacey responds, “Of course, that’s why I’m getting more animals, to be honest with you”!
Stacey tells her sister that she fears she might have some early menopause symptoms.
“I believe I’m peri-menopausal,” I thought. She claims, “I’m tired and snappy.” My tolerance is at an all-time low, if you could test it.
She calls her friend Ollie, a physiologist, over to Pickle Cottage to talk and possibly get some tests. Stacey responds, “Mum did have early menopause, yes, she was in her 30s.”
He then advises her to go for some blood tests via a female physician, but he says there is nothing that can definitively indicate that she has menopaused.
The second series of Stacey & Joe returns to BBC One and iPlayer on September 9.
Stacey and Joe said of the new series: “We’ve been so grateful for all the lovely messages and people watching series one. Everyone’s support means the world to us and we can’t wait to take everyone on this crazy journey we call life! We hope people will laugh along with us again in this new series.”
After rising to fame on the X Factor in 2009, Loose Women star Stacey has become a national treasure and is best known for her bubbly personality and as the Instagram DIY queen.
As she transforms Pickle Cottage into a family home, she keeps her social media followers informed.
As well as her dream home which features in the series, Stacey has the dream family life too with former EastEnders actor fiancé Joe Swash, and her five children; Zachary, 17, Leighton, 13, Rex, six, Rose, three, and Belle, two.
