Sister Wives star Christine Brown is going to be a grandma again. Her oldest daughter Aspyn Thompson announced she is expecting her first child with husband Mitch Thompson.
When the 30-year-old, who serves as store manager at Kendra Scott Jewelry Store, made her happy announcement on local TV station Fox 13, she made an appearance on the program to promote the Mother’s Day gift selections.
The reporter said, “And how fitting that you have your first little one on the way” during the interview about Mother’s Day! A beaming Aspyn smiled and said, “I know” in response.
Aspyn’s parents, Christine and Kody Brown, are the eldest children. The pair rose to fame after appearing on the US reality series Sister Wives, which follows Mormon Kody, a 56-year-old polygamist.
He has four wives and 18 children since 1990. From 1994 to 2021, he was married to Aspyn’s mother Christine. Aspyn, 30, Mykelti, 28, Gwendlyn, 23, Ysabel, 22, and Truel, 15, are the parents of six children. Additionally, they have a 26-year-old son named Paedon.
When daughter Mykelti gave birth to her and husband Antonio’s firstborn, a daughter called Avalon Asa, in 2021, Christine became the first woman to become a grandmother. Archer Banks and Ace McCord, both sons, were born less than a year later.
However, after almost three decades of dating, Christine and Kody split four years ago. Later, the 53-year-old admitted that Kody’s lack of a relationship with their children was a contributing factor.
She stated on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast in December 2022, “It was always like a vicious cycle.” Because you’ve known your father loves you for years, I’d say. That’s what I would always say to my kids. We’re going to have a great time because he’s coming over, blah, blah, blah. And they all stopped believing me after a while.
Christine announced their split, stating that it had been “a long time coming” and that she is enjoying the divorce process. Thank you for supporting me when I leave Kody, she said to her fans. I feel much better now than ever before that I had to make the decision. The quality of life is incredible. I didn’t realize how simple life could be. Since then, she has rekindled her romantic relationship with her husband, who she wed in 2023.
Kody was married to 54-year-old Meri Brown’s first wife alongside Christine. From 1990 to 2014, Leon and Leon were legally married, and they have one son. After getting married in 1993, Kathy wed Janelle Brown, 55, and Christine, who he had previously called “spiritual marriages.” Despite splitting in 2022.
Janelle and Madison, 28, Hunter, 25, Gabriel, 22, and Savanah, 18, together, gave birth to six more children. Their 25-year-old son Garrison was tragically killed by suicide. He later revealed that he died at his Arizona home from a gunshot wound to the head.
Kody divorced his first wife Meri in 2014, and he is now legally married to her fourth wife, Robyn. They currently have five children under the same age. Dayton, Aurora, and Breanna, the other three children from a previous relationship, are also present, along with Robyn’s three children, Ariella, eight, and Solomon, 12.
