David posted a video of him putting his crutches aside in a video clip, demonstrating his new agility. Sir David discussed the difficulties of muscle recovery while speaking with Lorraine.

He claimed that because I was so infirm for two or three weeks, I may be having some trouble getting my muscles back.

He admitted that he wasn’t using his legs at all, but he maintained that he was optimistic and that he was getting it back. The hip itself is wonderful, despite the fact that I’m working on and doing some exercises.

The well-known actor faced a difficult battle with Covid-19 in 2023, which he described as “seriously bad.”

He recalls a particularly terrifying situation where he collapsed from muscle weakness and had to crawl on all fours due to the virus’ crippling hold.

On BBC Breakfast, he disclosed: “I crawled towards the bed… I used the bed as support in my attempts to rise and move where I needed to go, including getting back into bed, but I couldn’t.

I tried various methods to stand up and walk around for about fifteen minutes before I gave up.

He humorously recounted in a lighter moment that dragging his head across the floor to the door caused carpet burns. The ‘Open All Hours’ star claimed that he was the “first person to experience Covid and carpet burns simultaneously.”
