Nicole Young, the star of the Netflix series Sunset, has revealed how different her life is when she is not in front of the camera and kept secrets about how it all came together.
Selling Sunset star Nicole Young has just finished filming the latest series of the Netflix hit – and she has spilled a number of filming secrets to the Mirror.
The real estate agent, 39, first appeared on the reality series in 2022, joining in season six. Since then, fans have watched as she has sold some of the hottest properties in the States. But it’s been her ongoing feud with fellow realtor Chrishell Stause that has had viewers invested.
Now, in an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Nicole has spilled the tea on what goes on behind the scenes and explained her view of what happened between her and her co-star. Nicole claimed the cast have “zero control” over what they film, or who they film with. She told us: “We have zero control over what we film, who we film with, or what topics of discussion are ‘needed’ by production for each filmed scene.
We are held accountable by the public for what is and isn’t filmed or shown, but we have never had any control over that.
She continued to make the claim that Chrishell, who plays a snarling wolf in real life, is “incredibly astute at manipulating people and portraying herself as a perpetual victim.”
The most recent conflict between her and I, according to season 9, comes as a result of me finally returning to her constant and unsubstantiated jabs and accusations while presenting a reflection of the deeply real source of her issues.
Nicole acknowledged that her screen-based work “couldn’t be more different” than her actual role. She revealed, “First of all, I dress very differently.” Although I enjoy fashion and always will, my professional attire is far more sophisticated than that.
Additionally, I give my clients the most importance, always, in terms of relationships, trust, and honesty. Being a Realtor is about the service I offer my clients, not about beating myself up against coworkers or “ringing the bell.”
And she acknowledged that filmmaking is “100 times more competitive” than filmmaking. She said of reality TV that nothing seems to be as it seems. Many people in your life will lie and deceive you to get your story to tell, and you have no control over it.
Nicole continued, “My life is very normal and very down to earth outside of filming.” I’m incredibly appreciative of my regular life, my husband, my true family, and my enormous support system.
“I have definitely benefited from countless incredible opportunities, events, and experiences because of the show, and I have fully accepted those that have occurred,” Young said. “I am the real Nicole Young in real life, not Nicole Young in the edited, manipulated version of Selling Sunset.
“But it’s also been a very cathartic experience for me to be able to meet so many people who may or may not have had preconceived notions of me based on the show, and then be given the opportunity to show those people who I really am.” Anyone who has met me in person has a completely different and positive perception of who I really am, and I’m always appreciative of that.
Nicole says she always advises people looking for a home to speak with a mortgage broker or lender before they are financially ready to begin looking for one.
She claimed, “I’ve been preaching this to buyers for the past ten years.” If you wait until the last minute, a mortgage broker can help you create a financial plan to get you where you need to be. It’s never too early to begin preparing financially, and preparation is crucial.
