Former President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, said that security and economy improved significantly in Nigeria during his eight year-tenure.
He made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ Chapel in Daura, Katsina State, where he was staying with the state correspondents there.
Buhari remarked that the country’s security and economy were sweltering prior to his administration, insisting that his administration had significantly reduced the threat of terrorism and economic collapse.

He added that his government’s revolving security and economic strategies, which he had inherited from his predecessors, successfully addressed his government’s economic and security issues.
Only Nigerians in the corridor of power, in Buhari’s opinion, would comprehend the country’s administrative difficulties, citing bottlenecks in the implementation of policies and programs.
“Compared to what our meeting in 2015, security and economy in Nigeria improved significantly.” Things will continue to improve in Nigeria”, he insisted.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Correspondents ‘ Chapel, Katsina State, Alhaji Yusuf Jargaba, thanked the former President for tackling terrorism, banditry and other security challenges during his tenure.
