Namibia 74 (16.2 overs): Mwatile 15, Fraser 3-9

Scotland 76-3 (8.4 overs): Bryce 36, Carter 21, Benjamin 2-15

Seven wickets plus the victory for Scotland

In their most recent game at the Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy in Bangkok, Scotland defeated Namibia by seven wickets to defeat them.

Namibia is the only team in the top eight teams to have won one game and lost all four of their matches thus far, leading the table.

Scotland took the first two wickets from Namibia after winning the toss, but Scotland only managed three runs off.

After losing openers Ailsa Lister and Ellen Watson, the Scots went 21-2 in response.

The Scots were only four points clear of Namibia’s total at the time, but Darcey Carter, who had already scored three goals in the previous three games, was sent off for a modest 21.

Megan McColl’s six from her second ball sealed the match for Captain Sarah Bryce, who had delivered the majority of the damage this time, with 36 not out and seven fours from 17 deliveries.

It means a lot, Fraser said to Cricket Scotland, who becomes the second women’s T20I bowler to take 50 wickets. I think it’s really nice to join Abtaha, who I idolized for a long time, as I progress through the ranks.

“It was turning out there, which always helps me, but I was having a lot of fun,” I said.
