At the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas, Scottie Scheffler dominantly won his first championship of 2025.

The 28-year-old American world number one finished fourth at the Masters last month with an eight-under-par 63 to lead closest rival Erik van Rooyen by 31 under-eight shots.

Scheffler recorded the lowest 72-hole score in PGA Tour history, with 253 over the course of four days, which is also record-breaking.

His career’s fourteenth PGA Tour title came from here.

He said, “I was very fortunate and inspired to be in that position,” speaking in front of his hometown crowd.

His wife Meredith and son Bennett welcomed him as he left the green on the 18th of the month.
