Savinho, a winger for Manchester City, has extended his two-year contract until 2031.

The Brazilian, who is 21 years old, joined sister club Troyes for £30.8 million in 2024 and is currently in his second year.

Savinho has scored four goals and added 12 assists in 54 games for Pep Guardiola’s side.

He stated, “I’m incredibly happy that I can sign this new contract with City.”

“It’s a very special feeling knowing that Pep and the club have backed me up.” It really means a lot to my family and I.

Savinho’s transfer to Tottenham was afoot when City vowed to keep him in mind, but the club were quick to say he wasn’t going to sell.

The former PSV Eindhoven and Girona player said, “I feel like I have so much to improve on. I am still young and very eager to keep learning.”

“But I know that working with Pep and his staff will allow me to continue to develop as a player.”

Guardiola predicted that Savinho would become the club’s “top player.” City manager last month.

It’s always about goals and assists, he continued, “for the people up front.” Last season, Savinho produced a lot, but he was a little too busy in the final third or the last few moments.

However, he will become a top-class player once he realizes that because he can play on both sides, has the speed, and has the work ethic, and that because he is so young, the more he develops.

“Savio will make this step, and it will come naturally, and he will be a top player for Man City,” he said.

“Savinho is still very young, but he has already demonstrated that he possesses the qualities needed to become a truly outstanding player,” said City’s director of football Hugo Viana.
