Saudi Arabia and the US have had positive relations for decades, including in the defense sector.
The US agreed to sell Saudi Arabia an arms package worth nearly $ 142 billion during Trump’s May visit to Riyadh.
Trump also included Saudi Arabia on his first major foreign trip, which also resulted in a multibillion-dollar arms deal, during his first term as president.
