Ruth Langsford’s brutal five-word assessment of her divorce from Eamonn Holmes

On Tuesday morning while appearing on Loose Women, 64, Ruth Langsford seemed to take a cheeky swipe at the status of her divorce.
Eamonn Holmes, 65, and her ex-boyfriend Katie Alexander, 42, have split and are now living together. After 14 years of marriage, Ruth gave the impression that their divorce wasn’t going so well. The couple has a son.
The ITV panel debated whether they would ever abandon their children if they were to choose a suitable partner as their starting point. “I just think it’s madness. You are aware that no matter what position you hold in your child’s life, they will always do the opposite if you indulge too much. I just can’t imagine how on earth it would be worth the risk of your child being forgotten about in your family.

Coleen Nolan concurred, “I think it’s important for parents to let their kids find out for themselves. It might work out and they spend the rest of their lives together, but it might turn out that they end up heartbroken, which is when you step in as a parent.”
Then, in her direction, Ruth turned to parents who deceived themselves by putting their children before themselves. She shared: “I think it’s very selfish when you hear parents who say, you know, if they’re divorced, something like ‘ Well I’m not coming to your wedding if he’s coming, or if she’s there. ‘ I just think it’s so selfish, isn’t it”?
“That’s a whole other subject, isn’t it? How to divorce well-” Mariella began. Ruth then intercedes her.
“Oh, tell me about it”! Ruth exclaimed, seemingly hinting that “divorcing well” was a topic she’d like to know more about. Before Ruth’s cleverly inserted an ad break, the panel and audience were completely in stitches.
After the split was made public, reports about how Eamonn’s health issues affected the couple’s relationship began to come out. A couple’s friend allegedly told MailOnline that Rust has since become more of the star’s carer than his wife when he was talking about his ill health at the time. Eamonn has been thoroughly miserable”.
They claimed Eamonn has become “more and more grumpy” and, in the end, it started to get Ruth “down more than she could accept”. Additionally, the publication claimed that Ruth allegedly became upset over the joke that Eamonn made to friends about being “touched” more by his physiotherapist than Ruth in recent years.
Eamonn blamed Ruth for his health issues in a similarly outrageous statement, and he joked that his sex life was the “cause” of the issue. He told the Mirror: “I’m facing a two-week double hip operation, she wore them out, she’s got to help wear them in”, adding, “The doctor says no hanky panky and no strong exercise”.
