It has been reported David, 71, made the choice to move overseas to be with his new girlfriend. The new couple have made things social media official as she shared a photo of the two of them kissing on Facebook.
According to reports, David and Jayne Charity Cook, a 46-year-old digital creator, are romantically involved. Despite having three children and operating businesses in his home country, he made the decision to relocate.
According to The MailOnline, David has relocated to Port Hardy, a city in British Columbia, Canada, on Vancouver Island’s northern tip. After revealing her new romance, Jayne’s Facebook post received a number of encouraging comments.
You both appear to be so happy, one person wrote. For you, I adore this. While another person stated, “You are glowing so bright, I’m so glad you found someone who makes you absolutely happy.”
After being married for 26 years, David and Ruth reportedly split 18 months ago, and it’s thought David has been visiting Canada for a while. After it was revealed that he had a new girlfriend, the former couple announced on Wednesday that they were ending their relationship.

David and Ruth’s split comes after Ruth’s Gavin & Stacey character Nessa finally married on-off lover Smithy, played by co-writer James Corden. This took place in the 2024 Christmas Special of Gavin & Stacey which was watched by 12.3million viewers.
The comedy series that first aired on television in 2007 was the last episode. Ruth won the BAFTA for her efforts to put together the comedy’s best female performance.
Ruth was seen wearing her wedding ring as she accepted the award, but she didn’t mention her husband in her acceptance speech. She thanked the cast and crew for their kind words, and she mentions James Corden, her co-writer and co-star, in particular.
