Antonio Rudiger apologized after receiving a red card for striking the referee in Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona.

Rudiger and Real teammate Lucas Vazquez both received straight red cards after furious actions toward Kylian Mbappe shortly before the break.

Jude Bellingham, 21, a Real England midfielder, was also later dismissed for dissention.

In his report, Referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea claimed center-back Rudiger, 32, was dismissed for “flipping an object from the technical area.” According to reports, Rudiger reportedly threw the official an ice cube.

Rudiger stated on an Instagram story that “there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior.” “I’m so sorry for that,”

I’m so sorry to the referee and everyone else I’ve disappointed.

According to the disciplinary code of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the German defender could be subject to a lengthy suspension.

Rudiger could be suspended for four to twelve matches if deemed appropriate by article 101, which covers “mild violence” directed at referees.

However, according to article 104, which covers “affecting referees,” players may be banned for three to six months if “the act was a single act and did not cause any harmful consequences.”

What transpired?

Before Ferran Torres’ 84th-minute equalizer made the Clasico final in Seville extra time, Real Madrid had already led 2-1.

In the 116th minute, Barcelona’s defenseman Jules Kounde scored a 22-yard screamer to win the encounter in Barcelona.

Real’s forward Mbappe attempted to shoot straight at Eric Garcia in the penalty area in the final moments, but the Barcelona defender was fouled.

Rudiger appeared to throw an object at De Burgos Bengoetxea, which caused him to lose his job, before being restrained by Real coaching staff members as well.

Vazquez, 33, was dismissed for protesting the decision on the field of play.

You can see something being thrown, according to Premier Sports commentator Terry Gibson, “Rudiger is in big trouble, it doesn’t miss the referee by a million miles, it’s at the referee.”

Real Madrid players are pathetic, they say.

Before the final whistle, Rudiger claimed that the substitution and his lack of involvement in “his team” caused the error.

Bellingham was later dismissed for “aggressive” behavior and having his team-mates restrain him, according to the referee report.

Bellingham appears to say, “Everything works in their favor,” in half-time video from the tunnel. Even though he was not sanctioned for making this comment, every 50-50 decision favors them.

Bellingham has twice been penalized for dissention for Real this season. In a 1-1 La Liga draw with Osasuna in February, he was banned from both games after swearing at the referee.

Real Madrid and De Burgos Bengoetxea fought head-to-head in the lead-up to the game.

The club’s TV channel’s excessive pressure has caused the referee to cry during a press conference, which sparked Real’s furious response.

Real Madrid claimed that Spanish refereeing was “rigged” and completely discredited in a letter of complaint sent to RFEF and Spain’s High Council for Sports in February.

La Liga president Javier Tebas said Real Madrid had “lost their head” following their 1-0 defeat to Espanyol.

The RFEF later that month criticized Jose Luis Munuera Montero’s “repulsive” abuse for sending Bellingham v. Osasuna off.
