Singer Robbie Williams appeared on the latest episode of The Graham Norton Show alongside some other famous faces, including Hollywood actress Julia Roberts
Robbie Williams tells Julia Roberts how he was inspired by ‘Pretty Woman’
Robbie Williams’ “prostitute” admission left Julia Roberts speechless as they both appeared on The Graham Norton Show this week. The singer sat alongside the actress as well as Colin Farrell, Benedict Cumberbatch and Gloria Estefan.
After her performed his new single Pretty Face, Robbie sat beside Julia where he then talked about one of Julia’s iconic films. Host Graham asked if he recognised the famous faces alongside him which is when he said how much of a fan he was of the actress.
Graham asked: “Robbie Williams, who do you know on the couch?” He replied: “I mean I know everybody from watching them on the telly.”

Robbie added: “And Julia Roberts. Oh my god, I can’t. I’ve watched Pretty Woman six times in a row. And at the end of the six times, I was like ‘one day I will take a prostitute shopping’. And I did. I did. So, thank you.”
Robbie’s story about the prostitute clearly surprised Julie as her mouth dropped and she was left speechless. Moving on from the moment, Graham said: “That’s a lovely story Robbie. That’s really lovely.”
Many Robbie fans took to social media to express how funny they found the star. One wrote: “How can you not love him?”
“You can always trust Robbie to liven up Graham Norton,” a second added. Another asked: “Rob, never change.”
The particular scene Robbie was referring to was in Pretty Woman when Vivian, who is played by Julia, returns to an expensive Rodeo Drive boutique whose employees originally refused to help her because she was dressed like a prostitute.
Vivian then goes back dressed in an expensive outfit which is when she gets her revenge and tells the shop assistants that they made a “big mistake” as they won’t be getting any commission now.
This comes as Robbie recently spoke about what he describes as “inside Tourette’s” and said he is an “Olympian at masking”.
Speaking on the podcast, I’m ADHD! No You’re Not, the 51-year old talked about the condition. He said: “I’ve just realised that I have Tourette’s, but they don’t come out. I was just walking down the road the other day and I realised that these intrusive thoughts are ‘inside Tourette’s’.”
According to the NHS website, Tourette syndrome causes sudden, repetitive sounds or movements, also known as tics, that are often triggered by different things including stress, excitement or tiredness.
Other celebrities have been open about living with the condition which include musicians Lewis Capaldi and Billie Eilish.
