Rivers Govt Approves March Salary For Civil Servants, Suspended Appointees

All public servants, pensioners, and suspended political appointees’ salaries have been approved by the Rivers State Government.

Retired Vice Admiral Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, the state’s administrator, issued this directive in a statement to Prof. Worika, the state’s secretary.

The Accountant-General has been given the task of making sure the salaries are delivered on time, according to the statement.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which had previously threatened industrial action due to delayed pay, is receiving the approval in response to growing concerns from labor unions.
