Rivers Government Announces Commissioning Of 10-Day Project

A 10-day project has been commissioned by the Rivers State Government.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria (CBN) was prohibited from releasing federal funds to the Rivers State Government the day before this announcement. The oil-rich state’s recent local government elections were also annulled by the apex court.

The Siminalayi Fubara administration said it continues to be determined in its development agenda despite the court’s ruling, which is causing political strife in the state.

On Monday, March 3, 2025, the 10-day exercise is scheduled to start with the unveiling of crucial infrastructure projects across the Rivers State and beyond.

The Fubara-led administration’s pledged commitment to sustainable development, according to Commissioner for Information, Joe Johnson, in a statement on Saturday.

According to him, the projects “align with the government’s commitment to improved public service delivery, security, education, and infrastructure development.”
