After fans believed they had identified the unnamed star who had stopped being her friend, Reese Witherspoon has since revealed her “fid” with Kate Winslet.
When Legally Blonde actress Reese admitted she is “haunted” by an encounter at an awards ceremony, she sparked controversy among her fans who searched the internet to find out who she was talking to. Reese, 48, admitted that she’s “not friends anymore” with the “serious, proper actress”, who she “roasted” at an “elegant and classy” British awards do.
Reese took to social media to deny the speculation that had been made by fans, claiming that the actress in question was actually Kate Winslet, the actress who had been rumored to be Kate Winslet. Writing on her Instagram Story on Saturday, Reese said: “Hey guys.. Just spoke to my very dear friend for years Kate W.
” We laughed about this stupidity. Please do not believe the internet. We have never gotten into a fight and are close friends.
Reese is Kate’s “ex-friend,” according to a headline shared by the celebrity gossip website Just Jared. Her next story made reference to a headline from her 2007 speech honoring the English actress at the Brit Awards. She wrote:” This is completely UNTRUE… So silly. “
While she and Will Ferrell both released their upcoming comedy You’re Cordially Invited, she and People magazine were the subjects of the interview in which she made the comments. Reese asked Will during the interview:” Have you ever had this moment where you gave a speech and then like three years later, you’re like, ‘ Why did I do that? Why did I do that? ‘ “
Reese admitted it still” haunts “her and said:” So this friend of mine — who I didn’t really know that well, but she was a very serious, proper actress — she asked me to give her an award.

In her speech in 2007, Reese said: “I always wanted to be a European movie star, wear giant sunglasses, elaborate neck scarves, smoke hand-rolled cigarettes, and have savoir faire and gravitas.
” Imagine my good fortune when Kate Winslet moved into my neighbourhood, rang my door bell and said, (insert British accent here) ‘ Dahling, Sam is off shooting, and I believe our children are the same age. Could they possibly have a play date and oh, by the way, it’s almost 9 o’clock and I’ve had nothing to do drink, do you have any wine? ‘ “
