Rashford Doesn’t See Football The ‘Way I See It’, Says Amorim

Before the unwanted England striker was shipped out of Old Trafford, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes Marcus Rashford lacked the ability to see football “the way I see it.”

Rashford, 27, spent seven weeks on the sidelines before being loaned to Premier League rivals Aston Villa during the transfer window, where he radically lost his mind about the Portuguese boss.

“I couldn’t put Marcus to see the way you’re supposed to play football and to train the way I see it,” Amorim said on Thursday.

Sometimes a player has a great relationship with one coach, but not the other player has a bad relationship with another.

“I just wish the best to Rashford and to (Aston Villa coach) Unai Emery, and they can connect because he’s a very good player. ”

Amorim’s team faces Leicester on Friday in the FA Cup fourth round, and he said his main goal is to end a terrible season.

“Guys, in the summer… like we said before, we are fighting for our jobs until the summer,” he said.

“So, I am just focused on these games. You can ask these questions to another coach because he is currently in Birmingham with Unai. At this moment, we are only focusing on our players. ”
