Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness shows off weight loss and reveals how dropped 4.7 stone

After years of struggle, Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness reached a significant weight loss milestone.
The 37-year-old hairstylist shared a before-and-after shot on Instagram, alongside a caption explaining how he’d dropped a massive 66 pounds (4.7 stone). Jonathan, a Netflix star, captions two photos next to each other, both of which show him sporting a pair of black boxers.
In the “after” shot, Jonathan appeared much slimmer, showed some visible muscles on his stomach, and proudly flexed his bicep, according to the popular weight loss app MyFitnessPal. “Lost 66 pounds”! the app wrote alongside the side-by-side snaps.
Jonathan explained how a variety of methods had helped him lose weight in a caption for his Stories. “I want to note, glp-1s have been a huge help”, he revealed. GLP-1 is often marketed as Ozempic, and is used to treat type 2 diabetes.
The star added: “I have also made major other changes. First was my diet obvs, second was way less alcohol, and finally group pilates which has been most pivotal. Since last year, my mental health and overall perception have changed significantly, and group fitness has had the biggest impact.
Jonathan explained of his different weight loss methods: “Overall though, I’m so proud of myself and want to share. Take what works for you &, leave the rest”.
Jonathan, a Big Mouth star, has acknowledged for years that he had a weight loss struggle because of his frequent size changes. He has since made clear that he has had this problem. He revealed on Instagram in October 2022 that he had always been a hot and sexy s*t while also having a long-term binge eating disorder.

“I got help in April after years of feeling out of control with food.” Making time for eating, planning to eat, and actually eating has been an interesting experience. When I would eat, I would binge because it was always my lowest priority. I’m grateful to be on this healing journey and it continues to be.
Jonathan revealed that GLP-1 helped him control his food intake and improve his mental health in addition to receiving more holistic treatment for his binge eating issues. My doctor informed me about GLP-1, which I tried a few years ago in a pill form, but it was unsuccessful. So now, it was like ‘ let’s try one of the shots. ‘
He added:” This was back in September, and I felt immediately better. I have had complete control over my food intake for the first time in my life. I’ve learned a lot from it, and that’s one of the reasons I want to be so open with you because I know how crucial asking for help is and how much it can affect your recovery.
