Michelle Agyemang and Desire Doue both won the 2025 Golden Boy award, honors that recognize the best young players in Europe.
Paris St-Germain won the French treble last year, including their first Champions League title, thanks to France forward Doue, 20.
In 61 games, the 20-year-old added 16 goals and added 16 assists, including a double against Inter Milan in PSG’s Champions League final.
Agyemang, a striker for England and Brighton and an Arsenal loanee, was named the tournament’s youngest player of the year after scoring two crucial goals for the Lionesses in their 2025 victory.
The 19-year-old has started five of Brighton’s six WSL games this year despite sustaining a rupture to her anterior cruciate ligament. She will miss the remainder of the campaign.
The ceremony will take place on December 1 with the announcement of the award winners following a news conference on Tuesday.
A poll of 50 selected sports journalists from all over Europe determines the winners, which was created by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
The best under-21 footballers are given them each year, with Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal winning the Golden Boy award last year.
The Golden Girl award went to Vicky Lopez, who is also a Barcelona native.
Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Wayne Rooney have all won the men’s awards, while Linda Caicedo and Jule Brand from Colombia also have won.
A player must be born on or after January 1, 2005, and be a member of a team in one of Uefa’s top 25 leagues to be considered for the 2025 draft.
