Princess Andre revealed she is shocked at Katie Price’s latest career goal but confessed on the National Television Awards red carpet that it’s not because her mum is ‘bad’
Princess Andre admitted her surprise at mum Katie Price’s latest career success as the teen attended the National Television Awards on Wednesday. She took to the red carpet at the glitzy but damp event at London’s O2 alongside her brother, Junior Andre.
And speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Princess, 18, admitted he shock at the “amazing” news of her mum’s latest success. Katie, 47, saw her tune top the iTunes chart this week as she announced another single is set to drop.
Beaming with pride, Princess said of the achievement: “That was actually amazing. Like, we were actually shocked. “Not because she’s bad, but she’s not a singer.”

Katie found herself beating off the likes of Chappell Roan, Lewis Capaldi and Benson Boone for the top spot with her track I Got U. The success came eight years after the dance-pop song was released.
Written by former X Factor contestant Craig Colton, the song was Katie’s attempt to launch herself as a singer again. She had previously attempted to represent the United Kingdom during the Eurovision Song Contest, but didn’t get voted in by the public.
Both Princess and Junior went on to express their pleasure at “going to these things alone” when it came to attending the annual awards ceremony. Previously at such events they have been flanked by either of their parents, but the flew the nest on this occasion and went solo.
Giving his thoughts on growing up in the media spotlight, Junior, 20, insisted he doesn’t listen to any negativity surrounding himself or his family. “People are always going to say things,” he said.
“People will say positive things, people will say negative things. Just be you and do what you want to do and do what you love and stay true to yourself.”
Both Princess and Junior also both admitted they are enjoying their own paths. It comes as Princess gained success through her debut reality TV series, The Princess Diaries.
The series follows the teen as she goes about her day-to-day life now that she has stepped into the spotlight in her own right for the first time. Her efforts were met with praise online following it showing.
One user on Twitter/ X commented: “I’m not a fan of Katie Price & Peter Andre, but they really did make the most beautiful kids in Junior & Princess.” Another added: “Watching The Princess Diaries on ITV. Loving the sibling relationship between Junior and Princess.”
Despite the success, Katie recently said she was “very, very upset” that Princess’ career was being managed by her ex-husband’s management team and claimed she is being left out. She also said prior to the show airing that she won’t be watching the reality show as she wasn’t involved.
