Prince Harry recently caught up with Joss Stone over a recent trip to the UK, and he recently revealed the moving question he had posed her about living there.
A pal of Prince Harry’s has revealed how he quizzed her on life in the UK when they caught up on his trip back to his homeland.
The duke made a whirlwind trip to the UK earlier this month to catch up with some of his most beloved causes here – and also had a long-awaited reunion with King Charles after not seeing each other for 19 months.
One of Harry’s outings while in the UK was when he bumped into Joss Stone, a prince’s friend, at the WellChild Awards.
The mum-of-four attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, and she says they swapped parenting tips, and probed her on her family’s recent move back to the UK from the US.
And she tellingly revealed to Hello!: “He also asked about how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home. He’s just very warm and down to earth, as always. Maybe Harry will move back too. That would be nice.
The singer continued, “He was talking about how important community is for children and how wonderful the schools are here.” It was nice to share that with him because it was the reason we were drawn to return and why we wanted to see the kids develop in a safe environment, with family, friends, and a strong sense of belonging.
Harry has stated numerous times that he would be happy to visit the UK to show his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
He claims that he feels unsafe bringing his family to his home country because he and his family are no longer legally entitled to police protection while living in the UK as they are working royals.
In an interview after losing a court decision over his security arrangements, he admitted: “I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point.
“I miss the UK, I miss parts of the UK, of course I do.” I think that having to leave my children’s homeland is really sad.
However, after Harry claimed his father was speaking to him during his 55 minutes of private tea with the King last week at Clarence House, hopes are growing that it will lead to a change in relations.
The rift, exacerbated by Harry and wife Meghan railing against the royals in their Netflix documentary and Harry’s book, Spare, means that Charles has barely seen his grandchildren.
Archie, age 6, and Lilibet, age 4, have only met him once, three years ago, indicating that they have only seen their grandfather once.
And according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, the big question is will Harry bring his children to see his UK-based relatives.
She told the Mirror: “I’m sure it’s something that Charles would love, and Harry wants them to know and understand their heritage. But how can he square it with his complaints about the UK being unsafe unless he has full protection?”
“His security arrangements have changed significantly over the past few years, which has prevented him from bringing his entire family here.”
It would be resolved by inviting guests to a royal residence. Would that, however, be successful? Would you welcome Meghan, too? She wants to visit. I’m not sure about it. She enjoys doing her “thing” in the United States.
“All of this has deeply damaged Harry’s relationship with Charles.” But now that they have resumed speaking, you may wonder, “Was it really necessary?”
