Primark has confirmed that some of its UK stores will close for two days
Primark has announced that some of its UK stores will shut for two days in the coming weeks. With nearly 200 Primark branches nationwide, these are expected to be bustling in the lead-up to Christmas.
The retailer has now detailed when shops will shut over the festive season. All UK Primark stores will be open on Christmas Eve, December 24, as well as Boxing Day, December 26, and New Year’s Eve, December 31. Some, according to Primark, will also shut on New Year’s Day, January 1.
Trading hours on Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day may differ in Northern Ireland, Primark said. A spokesperson added: “The opening hours of our UK stores will vary by store over the festive period, so shoppers should check their local store times on our website to plan their visits.”
Primark is among several retailers who have confirmed their Christmas closure dates. Home Bargains has said that every UK outlet will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, with Aldi also confirming it will halt trading over the same three days.
Lidl has revealed that most of its UK supermarkets will close for three days. All stores will be shut on Christmas day, and the majority will also close on Boxing Day, December 26, and New Year’s Day, January 1.
