Pride, passion & heartbreak – but Newcastle need end to Isak saga

It’s only a few years ago that Darwin Nunez scored all three points at St James’ Park with a late, late sucker punch, and Stan Collymore’s winner from 1996 still piques the Geordies of a certain generation in a cold sweat.

Liverpool had a lot of clinical qualities.

But Newcastle will still be upset that they didn’t use all of their players to take advantage of the goalless situation.

Set-pieces were a waste. The hosts were yelling for a poacher to stop the hosts’ gratefully accepted crosses. When Gordon’s delivery from Harvey Barnes picked out the head, the forward lacked accuracy on the intended target.

Newcastle have had 26 shots in their first two league games this season, but Howe’s side have only managed six shots on target and two goals.

Osula scored the winning goal on Monday night, but the 22-year-old is still developing and has never played for the club in the Premier League.

The Dane could face Leeds United on Saturday if the Wolves star Jorgen Strand Larsen and Brentford striker Yoane Wissa aren’t able to find a buyer in the transfer market in the upcoming days.

Howe was right to point out that one of the best strikers in the world is still playing for Newcastle and how they could have used the old Isak.

Howe argued that Alex’s quality would have had an impact on the team. There is no denying that, in my opinion. Despite that, the team has really worked out.

“Every component of the team must function well in order for the performance of the players and the team in the two games to occur.” In this division, no one can take their own life against anyone. Yes, even if we were ahead, we needed to score in the first half. We only deal with what we have, but goals can change the game.

After rumors that Jamie Reuben, the club’s owner, had had face-to-face meetings with Isak while Yasir Al-Rumayyan is also in town, Howe claimed he was not a part of the discussions that were taking place.

However, the deadline for a resolution to this saga is ultimately approaching, with the deadline of September 1 approaching.
