Preston’s Osmajic charged after Hannibal allegations

Milutin Osmajic, a Preston striker, has been charged by the Football Association with abusing Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on racial grounds.
The FA has been looking into the incident that is said to have occurred last month at Deepdale, which was 0-0.
The Montenegrin has until March 25 to respond after it has already charged Osmajic.
According to a statement, it is claimed that the forward acted improperly and/or used insulting and/or offensive language toward the opposing player, in violation of FA Rule E3.1.
Further, it was claimed that because it includes “a reference to color and/or race, whether express or implied,” it constituted an “aggravated breach.”
The Tunisian reacted furiously to something that Osmajic said to him in the second half, which caused the Championship match to be postponed by several minutes. Hannibal then addressed the referee Andrew Kitchen for a lengthy discussion.
Osmajic, 25, “strongly refuted” the allegations.
Two weeks later, Preston won the FA Cup fifth round 3-0. The teams squared off in the fifth round.
Before the game, the Burnley players, who had left Hannibal out by boss Scott Parker, declined to shake hands with Osmajic.
The hosts’ second goal was scored by Osmajic.
It has been a difficult choice, according to Parker, who said it was the best choice for Hannibal because the squad is so crucially important.
We have chosen the best course of action for Hannibal because I wouldn’t want to put him in this circumstance. He is not a member of the matchday squad because of this.
After the opening game, the former Manchester United player wrote in a post on Instagram that “I will not be silent about what happened today.” When I hear or see racism, I’ll always make it clear.
The only way for a society and sport to change is through that. Nobody should have to go through this disgusting abuse on the pitch because I am a strong person.
