On Thursday night, President Bola Tinubu flew to Brazil where he will make his state visit on August 24.
The President will stop in Los Angeles before heading to Brasilia, the country’s capital, according to a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu made his two-nation trip on August 15th, leaving Abuja for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before arriving in Yokohama on August 18.
While in Japan, he also took part in the TICAD9, the opening ceremony and plenary, bilateral meetings, and a Thursday night interactive session with members of the Nigerian community.

The President urged Diaspora members of Nigeria to contribute their expertise and resources to the country’s development and stability during the meeting.

“I’m happy to hear what you’ve been saying. Many of our citizens are returning home, I’m pleased to report. Some people may choose to stay away from Nigeria for economic reasons, but that is a fundamental right of the individual. We really need your assistance. Who will build it if you stay away? Tinubu posed a question.
