After feeling her waters began to break, the Love Island alum was taken to the hospital and 48 hours later, Claudia was required to undergo medical monitoring.

Former Love Island star Claudia Fogarty has shared that she recently faced a “very scary” hospital stay after her waters broke unexpectedly at just 33 weeks into her pregnancy.

The 31-year-old reality star – who is the daughter of motorbike racing legend Carl Fogarty – is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Ollie Crankshaw. In May the couple announced that they are due to welcome a baby girl in November.

Claudia explained that the ordeal first started when she suddenly felt a trickle of liquid while applying her eyelashes. She called the maternity unit, who told her to come in right away to be checked, after calling Ollie and her mother.

However, her waters broke as she arrived in the hospital car park, making her anxious and worried that the baby was about to arrive.

To prevent her from becoming premature, doctors advised her that she should remain under observation for at least 48 hours.

Claudia acknowledged that the lack of water is making her hospital bed scary. My bump’s size has decreased. I was afraid of that. She is alright. I went in.

She continued, “This baby is arriving much sooner than I anticipated.” Claudia admitted to feeling underprepared because she believed she had more time, despite the fact that doctors have already confirmed that the birth may still take place two weeks before the birth.

She continued, “It’s been a lot and very overwhelming.” Today, I feel much calmer. You simply don’t believe that these things actually occur to you. I have no early baby stuff in the house because everything isn’t ready.

Since there are no indications that the reality star will become pregnant, the reality star has now begun ordering supplies for the child. She should be discharged soon.

Her frightenedness came just days after Claudia admitted that she had been experiencing leg and foot swelling, which is a common symptom in pregnancy’s third trimester.

She asked followers if this was normal, before confirming that NHS guidelines say it is often part of the process. Claudia first shared her pregnancy news in May with a sweet video at the beach where she can be seen standing with Ollie.

The pair exchanged greetings in the video before revealing scans and writing “Baby girl” in the sand. Half of me, half of you, was the caption for the post. We’re eager to meet you. Coming on November 2 is baby Crankshaw.

Friends and family gathered in a flurry to congratulate the happy couple, including Claudia’s sister Danielle and her father Carl. Danielle was thrilled when her father joked that the baby was a girl, while her father jokingly remarked, “Oh baby girl.” I can’t wait to meet you and make you look all PINK. My little princes finally have a princess.

Claudia appeared on Love Island in season nine. She didn’t find lasting love in the villa, but has since settled down very happily with Ollie.

Although her daughter’s mother Michaela previously acknowledged that watching her daughter have her heart broken on the ITV2 show, she is happy Claudia has since “finally found her] happiness.”
