Love Island star Arabella Chi was hit with concerned messages from her fans after jetting off to Ibiza while heavily pregnant as she defended her decision to fly
Arabella Chi has been hit with concern from her fans after noticing a detail in her holiday snaps as she defended her decision to fly. The heavily pregnant Love Islander, 34, is due to give birth next month as had jetted away for some final sunshine.
She posted a series of stunning photos from the sun-soaked getaway to Ibiza, yet some social media users were quick to share their concern. Arabella posed in a ruffled yellow mini skirt and matching strapless top with her bump on show.
However, some fans noticed her stomach appeared red as they feared she had got sunburnt. The eagle eyed fans thought Arabelle may have enjoyed a bit too much sun as they offered their thoughts.
One asked: “Have you burnt your belly or is it pregnancy related?” Another added: “Surely not sunbathing, pregnant.”
Someone else commented: “Looks burnt from the sun.” According to the NHS, if you sunbathe while pregnant, you may find you burn more easily. They advise protecting skin with a high-factor sunscreen and not to stay in the sun for a long time.
Arabella hasn’t responded to the claims about her sunburn, yet she did issue a response amid backlash for travelling so close to her due date.
She responded: “Had lots of questions about pregnancy and flying British Airways allow you to fly up to 36 weeks with a fit to fly certificate from a midwife
“So we decided to squeeze in one last trip to my second home and spend a few days with friends and family. Crazy to think that next time Lam on a flight I’ have my little girl on my lap. ”
Arabella and her partner Billy Henty gave the Mirror exclusive access to her chic baby shower on Chelsea’s famous Kings Road, where guests were served cocktails named Princess Paloma, Miss Margarita and Angel Fresco in honour of her baby girl.
She reflected on her whirlwind year since meeting the man of her dreams and realising her dream of becoming a mum. “If you’d have said to me a year ago that I would be having a baby I would have laughed in your face,” she admitted.
“I’ve learned to trust the timing of your life because life will happen how it’s supposed to happen. I can’t wait to become a mum to a baby girl.
“I can’t believe that a year and three months ago I was in the Love Island villa. I feel so lucky to have found my forever partner. Trust life, is what I say to everyone.
“Friends around the same age as me are wondering when it will happen to them. Life will happen when it’s supposed to happen. ”
Arabella also revealed she has enjoyed a perfect pregnancy, which she confessed has been a “blessing”. She told us: “I’ve had no sickness. I was convinced I was having a boy because I felt so well. Billy thought it was a girl from day one.
“I’m just feeling very tired now. I’m in the final trimester, the final stretch.” The couple have already picked out a name but are keeping it under wraps.
