In the final, Johannes Moser of Austria had eight goals in front of him, but it was substitute Daniel Frauscher who hit the post with a low drive in the 85th minute, just as he had been substituted.

Cabral, who had a quick passing pass from Moser to his closest competition for the Golden Boot, had the advantage as Moser’s closest closest closest competitor. His seven goals came from his tap after a quick Portuguese tap, which was enough to earn the reigning European U-17 champions the win.

Austria dominated the attempts on goal and the number of chances against the keeper were both 15 to 14 and 5 to 4, respectively, so the scoreline suggested the game was as close as it was.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is currently in charge of global football development for FIFA, praised the inaugural 48-team FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar as a “football paradise.”

The Frenchman continued, “This tournament will transform world football.”

Every federation should make an effort to advance the youth of their country. And that’s not currently the case. We think that this tournament will encourage everyone to put forth more effort to improve their education and youth systems.

Following a goalless draw after normal time, Italy defeated Brazil 4-2 on penalties in the earlier-day playoff for third-place.
