According to the Ogun State Police Command, a wanted serial kidnapper has been detained and weapons have been recovered from previous operations.
Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, claimed that Clement Elijah, an alleged felon who had been on the run since 2024, was being apprehended by members of the anti-kidnapping unit in connection with a well-known kidnapping incident at Ajelanwa village in the state. At the time, two of his accomplices were being detained.

Elijah planned to kidnap a prominent person from Ago Village, Abigi, but his sinister plan was foiled by the police and vigilant residents, she said.
She claimed that Posi Friday, the gang’s alleged armourer, was apprehended following a clearance operation on June 16, 2025, along with eight live cartridges cleverly hidden in a Boom Speaker.
