With the release of a new film called Hoppers next year, Pixar will be releasing a brand-new movie with characters that will grace our screens. However, fans are divided on some of the animation’s highlights.
Disney and Pixar never fail to amaze fans with their abundance of ideas for new films or sequels to beloved favourites. And if you’re a fan of the animation wizzes, you’ll be pleased to know that a new movie is hitting cinemas in 2026.
It’s called Hoppers and will be coming to the big screen on March 6. The film follows an animal lover named Mabel, who hops at the opportunity to try new technology that allows her communicate with furry friends.
The film, created and directed by Daniel Chong, explores what happens when you turn human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals. Using the new technology, Mabel will uncover mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.
Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm make up the cast. Chong, a well-known director known for his roles in We Bare Bears, said: “I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” And it appears that there are plenty of people anticipating the release date!
“This caught my attention,” I thought.
On YouTube, people rushed to share their excitement after watching the trailer. One individual said: “The We Bare Bears guy is making a Pixar movie. I can already tell I’m gonna love this movie”
Another person commented, “It caught my attention that the director of We Bare Bears was directing this. I’d anticipate this from him; delightful wholesomeness that will make everyone smile!”
A third gushed, “This looks awful, so Disney better do a good job of promoting this movie.”
Another user praised the deers’ animation style, particularly the shrinking pupil, as “I love it”
Another critic gushed, “I can’t recall the last time I was this excited about a Pixar movie.” I’m in a rush.
Comparisons of the animation and avatar styles
Others were less enthusiastic about the upcoming release, though. One commenter lamented, “I detest this pointless animation style.
Some people also think the film isn’t particularly original. This movie is not original, and I detest this animation style, according to a critic. Brother Bear and Avatar are paired up for the laughs in Open Season. I don’t find it appealing.
Another person described Avatar as being so animated, with beavers and not blue people. Got it”. And a further expressed regret, saying, “I’m sorry if anyone else gets the Avatar plot with this movie.”
We think it’s best to wait until we actually watch the movie, which we are so eager to do so!
