Piers Morgan launches blistering takedown of David Walliams after ‘non-binary’ reveal

After the comedian opened up about his gender identity and sexuality in a podcast interview, Piers Morgan  used his column to criticize David Walliams.  ,
David mentioned that he “probably” identified as non-binary if the conversation had taken place when he was a teenager on the Uncomfortable Conversations with Josh Szeps podcast.
“I think it’s interesting. When talking about the evolution of gender identity over the past ten years, the Little Britain star said, “I find change interesting. He continued, “I wrote a book called The Boy in the Dress fifteen years ago, which I thought was a little more daring then, and I always wanted to celebrate differences on, so I always thought it was exciting.”
Reflecting on his own identity, David continued: “I sort of think, where would I be positioning myself maybe, if I was now 19 or 20? since I earned a drama degree at Bristol University. And I think that course is where you’re probably… if there’s a group of people who are going to be most interested in that sort of area, most drawn to that area, it’s probably going to be drama students”.
When Josh questioned, “What do you think you would be doing when you were 19?” David responded: “I don’t know. I mean, I think in a way I’d probably say I’m non-binary, I think. Probably. I don’t know exactly”.
In response to David’s comments, Piers Morgan criticised him, suggesting that his statements reflected confusion and labelled him as two-faced. In his column at The Sun, Piers wrote: “Talking of talent show judges, ex-BGT star David Walliams has revealed he’s ‘ probably non-binary’. The duplicitous little berk’s judging, where he was obsessively flattering contestants while he thought he was on air, was cruelly mocked and abusing them when he thought he wasn’t, could also be affected by this perplexing, two-faced state of mind.

In 2022, Piers took to X, formerly Twitter, to label David as “one of the nastiest frauds in TV” after leaked audio recordings exposed the comedian making derogatory comments about Britain’s Got Talent contestants. In the leaked recordings, David referred to one elderly contestant as a “c**t” three times and made crude sexual comments about another, saying, “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t”. Additionally, he made a number of inappropriate remarks.
A long-running conflict between Piers and David is said to have started when David liked a number of vile tweets about him. Due to the fact that David was still on the show, Piers claimed he has always refused to do so.
