In a new interview, the legendary comedian details his weight-loss journey, including an agonizing moment when he found himself sobbing in the gym.
Peter Kay has opened up about his weight loss journey, including a nightmarish experience he had at a gym, where he was left sobbing in the toilets.
The comedian has lost a lot of weight in recent years, but admitted in a new interview that his journey to slim down has not been easy. He explained that he had tried going to the gym multiple times but struggled to keep going.
He claimed that because of men talking while he was undressed, his first experience was at a Bolton gym, which he couldn’t handle. I joined David Lloyd in a Bolton gym. And you consider, “Yes,” before adding weights. I then went to pool because it was simpler. You understand why I halted my trip. Men are simply speaking to you without clothing.

A lad at an old school gym in central Manchester had me pull a tire outside, according to Peter. I used to tell him I needed a wee and that I would go to the toilet and sob because it was typical old school.
Peter claims that he has tried to lose weight for years. He admitted to trying everything, including dieting and weight loss programs.
Peter has been talking about his tour, Better Late Than Never, along with weight loss. The proceeds from the numerous extensions will go to 12 cancer charities for the final performances in 2026.
