To celebrate the release of his upcoming solo project, Felt Better Alive, which is due out on May 16, 2025, Pete Doherty has made plans for intimate album performances.

The Libertines’ 45-year-old frontman will hold a number of special events at UK record stores to celebrate the release. Pete will also take the stage at Pryzm Kingston and Rough Trade East London before opening with a performance at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club on release day. Fans have been advised to act fast, as pre-orders for the album and ticket bundle will open on Thursday, February 27 at 10am.

Ahead of these performances, Pete has shared a new track from the album, Calvados, along with an animated music video. The musician recently disclosed that he may need an amputation as a result of his candid health update, which came after his condition worsened.

Pete, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, warned that ignoring his health might cause his toes to fall out. Pete acknowledges that despite past addiction struggles, his health is currently worse than it was during his hedonistic years.

In the wake of his health confession, Pete took some time for himself in France, where he resides, before performing at Le Bikini in Toulouse. While smoking a cigarette, the star appears in a photo of him while seated on a bench and reflecting on his reflections. Pete appeared far removed from his wild past, dressed in a black suit, a white T-shirt, and a tweed cap.

Pete revealed to his audience that his doctor had advised him to stay off his toes during a recent concert in Berlin. You need to stay off your feet as much as you can, he said when I saw the doctor today. Despite his health challenges, Pete has made progress by giving up many of his vices, including heroin, although he still struggles with alcohol, smoking, and indulgent food choices like cheese and sugar.

In a previous interview, Pete humorously reflected on his new lifestyle, explaining that while he gave up heroin, his new “poisons” of alcohol and cheese have made him “unhealthier”. He described his ongoing struggle with his new food addiction. Even as he battles with his health, Pete remains open about his experiences, continuing to share his journey with fans and the public.

  • Friday 16th May: Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
  • Saturday 17th May: Jacaranda, Liverpool
  • Monday 19th May: Nantwich Civic Hall, Cheshire
  • Tuesday 20th May: Pryzm Kingston, London
