After learning that she is expecting her third child, Peppa Pig’s pregnant mother revealed her gender reveal at London’s Battersea Power Station.
The gender of the new baby on Peppa Pig has been revealed, ahead of a cinema experience showing preparations for the new arrival.
The animated show, which has told the story of Peppa, who lives with Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, and her little brother George for more than two decades, announced the pregnancy in February.
The Battersea Power Station chimneys in London will be lit pink on Friday to announce Mummy Pig’s expecting daughter. A pregnancy-themed episode, which coincided with Mother’s Day in March, already covered a third season of the series.
In the fall, viewers can anticipate seeing the new baby on television, but some might not be as excited as they do. May 30 will see the release of Peppa Meets The Baby, an hour-long animated series.
The song-filled screening features 10 brand-new episodes, as Peppa and George prepare for the arrival of their baby sister. The Peppa Pig store at the power station, turned shopping mall and accommodation complex, is fundraising in support of NCT (National Children’s Trust) the UK’s leading charity for pregnancy and parents on Friday.
The charity is partnered with Peppa Pig in the UK. The gender reveal episode will air on YouTube on May 3 as part of the Peppa Pig Tales series.
Peppa Pig first aired on Channel 5 Milkshake and Nick Jr. in 2004 and has since become a major tourist hit with UK and international theme parks. The program is available in more than 180 countries and has been broadcast in more than 40 different languages.
The series, which Neville Astley and Mark Baker co-created for Astley Baker Davies animation studio, has also appeared on collectible Royal Mail stamps.
Hasbro, a toy company, bought it in 2019 as part of its purchase of Entertainment One’s brands.
