Steve Sheen, the husband of The Birds of a Feather star, regrettably announced that she will “step away from all commercial and professional responsibilities” to spend time with her family. I’m saddened to learn that my wife Pauline has decided to step down from all professional and commercial responsibilities as a result of her diagnosis of dementia in 2021, according to Steve in the statement.
Pauline made her final public appearance before disclosing her dementia diagnosis in February 2023. Charlie stated on his social media account that the sweet messages from fans “put a smile on everyone’s faces” after the announcement.
He also posted a photo of him and his mother walking side by side, saying, “Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for your messages of support, kind words about my beautiful mum, and stories you have.” All of them have made us smiles as a family, and we are deeply moved and touched by them. We appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you”.
In her final birthday honors, the late Queen honored her with an MBE for her contributions to young people, the entertainment industry, and charities. Prince William gave the actress the special honor at the ceremony, presenting her with a medal that she beamed to him.
Pauline was posing for a picture inside the Castle’s quadrangle while displaying her honor. Her son Charlie praised her achievements and gushed about her famous mother. On his own account, he wrote, “To my beautiful mother,” in a photo of Pauline.
