The Florida Panthers defeated Edmonton Oilers 5-1 to retain the Stanley Cup, led by Sam Reinhart, who scored four goals.

The Panthers won the series’ best-of-seven game at the Amerant Bank Arena with a 4-2 victory.

With a 4-3 series win, Florida won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history, making it a repeat of last year’s finals.

Reinhart remarked about the difficulty of retaining the title, “You know how difficult it is,” Reinhart said.

Since 1957’s Montreal Canadiens’ Maurice Richard, Reinhart is the first player to reach the Stanley Cup final four goals.

The Panthers never looked back after four and a half minutes and 36 seconds when Reinhart opened the scoring.

By the end of the first quarter, Florida had doubled its lead before Reinhart scored three more unanswered points, according to Matthew Tkachuk, who claimed after the game that he had been playing with a torn adductor muscle and a hernia.

The five-time Stanley Cup winners, who had won it before, had one last triumph in the sport in 1989-1990, when Vasily Podkolzin of Edmonton came out to offer them a consolation.

Tkachuk remarked, “We are a dynasty.”

“I can’t believe this is what has occurred,” the woman said. The depth and how unbelievable the group is just shows how unbelievable.
