P. Louise has been on a wild ride this year, but it seems things are looking up for the 32-year-old from Droylsden, as she made a confession after doing a menu tasting for her store in Trafford

It’s been a whirlwind year for Paige Louise Williams, the face behind the P. Louise brand. From the dizzying heights of securing the top spot on TikTok for skincare and cosmetics, to the disappointment of her Trafford Palazzo store failing to open as planned, she’s weathered quite the storm with her team.

But things are looking up for the 32-year-old from Droylsden, Greater Manchester, as she recently made a big revelation during a menu tasting at her Trafford store. Sharing her experience in a video captioned: “Let’s do menu tasting for P. Louise Trafford,” she gave fans a sneak peek into the process.

She was sampling potential dishes for the new venue, revealing that the Trafford store is set to open “next year,” after previously stating that she won’t announce the date until it’s confirmed due to fears of “the evil eye”.

However, when the new café does finally open its doors, she wants it to emulate the success of the Stockport branch, which gets “booked up” rapidly, so she’s keen to replicate that triumph at her upcoming store.

Paige humorously confessed that she has the taste buds of a “two-year-old,” jesting that she only “really likes hummus,” so she brought along some of her team to give their opinions on the food too.

While scrambled eggs are an “absolute no” for Paige, she recognises that just because she doesn’t enjoy them, it doesn’t mean her customers won’t. She even quipped that she might as well “be in the jungle [I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here] because it’s a bushtucker trial”.

She emphasised the importance of good food, but also highlighted that “presentation is key” and something they “really need to work on”.

“Great price point, great food that comes out at a great pace,” Paige commented.

Paige humorously remarked that food tasting was “fun” until you “get a bit full”. “When you’re starving, everything tastes great. When you’re full, you become a little bit more picky,” she observed.

However, she had a productive day with the team, as they went through “everything on the menu”.

She and her team “took things off” that they thought “didn’t look right” or they “couldn’t make the presentation look better on. “If things sound great and look great, but it isn’t going to sell, then what’s the point in having it on the menu?” Paige questioned.

Paige revealed that there was one dish that was her “winter wonderland dream,” but she didn’t think many people visiting would choose it, so she asked: “What’s the point?”

“You know what is a real pinch-me moment? It’s the fact that P. Louise, when we first started, was a makeup brand, and we have built a full community, and it’s basically now a full day out for you and your family,” she enthused.

Paige also mentioned that she “eats out a lot,” particularly with her dad and her brothers, so she wants to ensure that if her dad were to visit the cafe at her Trafford store, he’d be impressed with what she’d accomplished.

She expressed her wish for him to exclaim: “Oh my god, that’s one of the best places I’ve eaten. The YMCA might have been blasting in the background, but that was one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at”.
