One Dead As Police Raid Kidnappers’ Hideout In Adamawa

According to the Adamawa Police Command, its men conducted a search of a well-known kidnapper’s hideout in Holma, in the state’s Song Local Government Area, in collaboration with local security organizations.

According to the police public relations officer in charge, Suleiman Ngurore, heavily armed suspects engaged the security personnel in a gunfight.

One kidnapper was killed, according to the police spokesman, while others escaped with bullet wounds. At the scene, Mohammed Sale, a suspect, was also apprehended.

A cache of weapons including one AK-47 rifle, two locally made guns, and five rounds of AK-47 live ammunition was recovered from the operation.

According to the spokesman, the suspect is already in custody and is assisting the police in their inquiries.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, Morris Dankwambo, has praised the efforts of his personnel and the vigilantes.

Dankwambo promised to work with other security organizations to get rid of criminal elements.
