As they wrapped up their iconic Oasis Live’25 tour in Brazil, Oasis left fans wanting more before releasing a song about their future.

Oasis have brought their epic comeback tour to a close and teased fans with what’s next. The Mancunian group stunned fans across the globe in recent months after their hugely successful reunion.

With a total of 41 sold out stadium shows since their return in Cardiff in July, Noel and Liam Gallagher brought the nostalgia back to their huge fanbase. Liam and older brother Noel settled their differences last year and were reunited on stage in July for the first time in 16 years.

Five months later, they’ve shared a message as the Oasis Live’25 tour wraps up. The band stated in the midst of hushed speculation about a new tour in 2017 that there would be a “pause for a period of reflection.”

It comes days after Liam Gallagher provided an earlier update to fans on whether the band will continue to perform next year. With a residency at Knebworth next summer among the rumours, as well as further shows at venues including their beloved Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, Liam sadly cast doubts over the potential showstoppers.

He took to Twitter/X to respond to a fan. Answering their post, the 53-year old said “unfortunately” Oasis’ future plans aren’t just down to him. The words were in stark contrast to his views in September.

After playing the iconic song Champagne Supernova at the end of their set, Liam promised to “see you next year” after the crowd had left a gig at Wembley Stadium. However, he later joked that the comments had caused him a “slap on the wrist.”

After a fan mentioned his “see you next year” comment on X, Liam said, “You will see me next year and the year after,” but we need to sit down and talk about these things.

“If it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not.”

And his response didn’t go well. I’m heartbroken, one fan responded, “I can’t believe you’re actually making me cry over this right now. I’m not being dramatic. I’m at work and only reading about this right now, but I’m completely heartbroken, a second later. After this tour, Oasis can’t be seen live in 2009 like it was in 2009.

Others quickly poured cold water on the matter, though. Noel appears so content. One said before adding: “I believe he wants to keep doing this,” adding that the crucial element is that you two are brothers once more and are rocking it on stage.
