When the new Oasis tour debuts and Aldi has unveiled a rebrand in a store prior to that time, Liam and Noel Gallagher will be performing on stage again later this week.
A tribute to Oasis has been unveiled at a supermarket in Greater Manchester ahead of Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher performing at Heaton Park. The band are set to play the venue on the Oasis Live ’25 Tour next month.
Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, will kick off their reunion tour in Cardiff on Friday before returning to Manchester next week. Oasis are scheduled to perform five gigs at Heaton Park, with the shows taking place between July 11 and 20.
Ahead of the tour, supermarket chain Aldi has announced that it has paid tribute by having changed the name of its Bury New Road store in Prestwich. The store, which is just a few miles from Heaton Park, has been renamed ‘Aldeh’.
The retailer claims that the temporary rebrand embraces the retailer’s Mancunian name. The store’s renaming was described as in honor of the Gallagher brothers and Manchester’s musical heritage, according to the article.
The sign will be on display at the store throughout Oasis’ eagerly awaited comeback period in the city, according to Aldi. Fans of the band have already waited outside the store to take pictures of the new tribute, it’s been made fun of.
With the Oasis reunion, we wanted to honor Manchester, which has a rich musical history, in line with the statement of Julie Ashfield, COO of Aldi UK. We’re honoring both the local dialect and the legendary band that have entertained fans all over the world by temporarily changing the name of our Bury New Road store to “Aldeh.”
Additionally, Aldi has made it known that a new line of Aldimania Bucket Hats will be available during its Oasis celebrations. The hats, which retail for £4.99 each, will go on sale in stores nationwide starting this week on Thursday.
It comes following the news that Aldi would be launching other limited edition products in tribute to Oasis, as reported by the Manchester Evening News. A new Supernova Champagne bottle will launch at Aldi’s Bury store from July 7, whilst Wonderwall Premium Lager launched nationwide last month.
Oasis’ reunion tour begins at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday night, with a Saturday-only set for a second performance. Next Friday, the band will play five shows there before moving to Heaton Park in Manchester.
After their home performances, the tour continues at London’s Wembley Stadium. Following performances at Glasgow’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium and Croke Park in Dublin, the tour’s UK and Ireland leg includes dates in both the UK and Ireland.
