A number of Oasis fans have gone from elation to heartbreak, having their tickets for the band’s highly-anticipated reunion tour refunded.

The Gallagher brothers announced they would be playing a number of global shows later this year, causing global ticket chaos as millions clamored for the chance to see them perform for the first time since 2009, and finally settled their infamous feud last year.

Fast forward five months, some, including X user Jen, have had their celebrations cut short by Ticketmaster cancellations, citing bot purchases in violation of terms and conditions. Expressing her frustration, she cursed: “If 2025 could actually get any worse – now I don’t even have this to look forward to any more. Denying legit fans their tickets”.

Jen’s email from Ticketmaster explained: “Following the messaging on the artist’s social media in the run up to the Oasis Live ‘ 25 on sale, the tour’s promoters have requested the refunding of your order for the below event. It has been identified that bots were used to make the purchase, which violates the tour’s terms and conditions”.

These conditions were specifically set up to restrict the sale of tickets on unlicensed ticketing platforms for profit, the statement continued. All parties have made vehement recommendations to fans to avoid purchasing tickets from unlicensed resale websites in order to prevent fraud or refunds.

Gutted Jen later added: “They’re gone – order cancelled. I’m trying to get it to work out, but I’m afraid @ticketmasteruk will just say, “Too bad so sad.”

Another unlucky fan expressed their dismay, meanwhile, revealing in response: “Yeah me too! Tickets are canceled, and I’m unable to figure out why! I just so happened to be lucky when I purchased them during the presale. Or so I thought. Proper kick to the stomach”.

Joining the outpour of frustration, a third fan pointed out: “Same has happened to us. Fuming is an understatement”. And in agreement, a fourth vented: “Same happened to us! legitimately purchased, but cancelled out of the blue.

In response to the uproar, a spokesperson for Ticketmaster declared: “All details can be found on Ticketmaster and/or See Tickets FAQ pages. Anyone who has been contacted and believes a refund was made in error has been sent a form to fill out for the tour’s promoters to review, per the emails sent by both Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

Additionally, Ticketmaster’s X account directly communicated with Jen on social media, stating: “We are in touch and working with Jen directly on this”.
