As he was repeatedly booed by fans in Paris, Tom Aspinall almost gave up answering questions at his press conference with Ciryl Gane.

On October 25 in Abu Dhabi, the 32-year-old fights Frenchman Gane for the title of UFC heavyweight champion.

Aspinall’s opening remarks were drowned out by the partisan crowd after he had already defeated three of the division’s top five contenders.

The Englishman began to say, “I mean, there was nobody else to fight,” before giving in to the cheers.

“Ciryl, you just do your thing, I’ll just chill out.”

On Saturday, the UFC held a fight night in Paris, and Gane used that opportunity to promote him in front of his home fans on Friday.

The French capital has a reputation for being a MMA hotspot, with recent years producing some of the best atmospheres in European competitions.

Aspinall is more well-known for his fans to chant his name at media events, especially now that he has won the title from a projected saga with American Jon Jones.

However, Aspinall was able to offer some opinions on his rival, who is also 6’5″ tall, after Gane responded to questions.

“I can knock anybody out if I hit anyone.” He claimed that Cindy is not a one-time exception. His ground game has some flaws, but I’m confident he’s improved.

It’s unusual for two heavyweights of our size to move as much as we do. The heavyweight era has dawned.

After losing titles to Jones and Francis Ngannou in 2022, Gane, 35, is optimistic that a third time will make it possible to win the UFC belt.

After being dominated and submitted by Jones in their match, the former interim champion has received criticism for his ground game.

According to Gane, “Tom is the defending champion, and he is the man to beat.”

He has never engaged in combat with me. I bring something new. “
