A professional ice hockey player who was detained on suspicion of manslaughter after the death of Adam Johnson will not face criminal charges.

The Nottingham Panthers player died in a hospital on October 28, 2023, after colliding with a skate that had caused him a fatal neck injury.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, it collaborated with South Yorkshire Police to decide whether to file criminal charges.
