Tottenham Hotspur loanee Alfie Dorrington to Aberdeen for the 2025-26 season.

Dorrington, age 20, helped the Dons win the Scottish Cup when they first arrived in Pittodrie in January.

His own goal gave the holders the lead before Jimmy Thelin’s side won on penalties following a 1-1 draw, making his 23rd Aberdeen appearance of the season in the final against Celtic.

Dorrington remarked, “I had the best six months of my footballing life, winning the cup, playing lots of games, and getting new experiences.

Dorrington continued, “especially on European nights,” that he is looking forward to playing in front of Aberdeen supporters once more.

Thelin’s men begin their season with a trip to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership on August 4 with a trip to the Europa League at the play-off stage.

He played a significant role in the squad’s second half of the season, and with the campaign afoot, we will need strength in depth to compete in every division, manager Thelin said.

It’s always satisfying when a player has a strong desire to join the club because Alfie settled well and contributed a lot.
